Writing Hiragana

When you practice writing Hiragana, pay attention to the following three points:

1. Three stoke types: There are 3 types of strokes, stop, release, and hook.

2. Some characters when typed or printed look different from hand-written shapes. You will practice hand-written shapes here, but be aware when you read printed text.

3. Stroke orders: Click each of the Hiragana in the Hiragana Table. This will download a short movie so that you can watch how a character is written. Pay attention to the stroke order for each letter. Then, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice your writing. When you have neat-handwriting, you look sophisticated and educated.
